The Spirit of Jezebel: a Competitive Spirit

Rev. 2: 18 "To the angel of the church in Thyatira write:
These are the words of the Son of God, whose eyes are like blazing fire and whose feet are like burnished bronze. 19 I know your deeds, your love and faith, your service and perseverance, and that you are now doing more than you did at first.

It is amazing that we can be doing, showing love and living by faith, offering service to God and being perseverant in our walk. However, Jesus is saying to his church: I have this against you. I have this against you: You tolerate Jezebel. You tolerate her false teachings! WOW, God do not tolerate false teachings, why do we tolerate them?

20 Nevertheless, I have this against you: You tolerate that woman Jezebel, who calls herself a prophet. By her teaching she misleads my servants into sexual immorality and the eating of food sacrificed to idols. 21 I have given her time to repent of her immorality, but she is unwilling. 22 So I will cast her on a bed of suffering, and I will make those who commit adultery with her suffer intensely, unless they repent of her ways. 23 I will strike her children dead. Then all the churches will know that I am he who searches hearts and minds, and I will repay each of you according to your deeds.

The Spirit of the Lord identified Jezebel as one who calls herself a prophet. She is not a prophet she call herself to be a prophet. Jezebel misleads God’s servants into sexual immorality with her false prophesies and teaching. Let us mention what is sexual immorality: fornication, orgies, anal sex, rape, molestation, pornography, lust, masturbation, adultery among others. Jezebel misleads God’s servants to join in activities with idols. How can we join in activities with idols? Every time that we tolerate sinful behaviors among those who profess to be servants of the Lord. When we seat to eat and make covenants with the world’s governments, powers, authorities and by doing so we compromise God’s doctrine and way of living for his people.

24 Now I say to the rest of you in Thyatira, to you who do not hold to her teaching and have not learned Satan's so-called deep secrets, 'I will not impose any other burden on you, 25 except to hold on to what you have until I come.'

Many in the church are learning from those that represent the new world order the illuminaties those that believe to possess the deep secrets and are lead by Satan. How are in power and governing in the world. To us the one that have not learned from Satan, Jesus is saying: hold on to what you have learned from me.

26 To those who are victorious and do my will to the end, I will give authority over the nations— 27 they 'will rule them with an iron scepter and will dash them to pieces like pottery'—just as I have received authority from my Father. 28 I will also give them the morning star. 29 Whoever has ears, let them hear what the Spirit says to the churches.

The Spirit of Jezebel wants power and control is a seductive spirit uses seduction to attract you through offering pleasures, delights, money, possessions and power. Jezebel distorts the word of God and her teachings eventually will lead you to the wide road of the confusing lights of the world. That is why Jesus said: “to those who are victorious, I will give authority over the nations.” Jezebel comes after authority to increase her power of influence to lead God’s servants into her domain and control. Jesus promised that he will give authority to those that do his will to the end, not for a while, but to the end.

Jezebel is the spirit of anti-prophetic anointing it comes to quiet, steal, kill and destroy the true anointing with an imitation. Through the spirit of competency the spirit of Jezebel fills the servant of God with the desire to conquer, dominate and be successful, thus to feel envy, jealous, and act with hypocrisy.

Rev.19:10
At this I fell at his feet to worship him. But he said to me, "Do not do it! I am a fellow servant with you and with your brothers who hold to the testimony of Jesus. Worship God! For the testimony of Jesus is the spirit of prophecy."

• A Need to control and power: origin of competiveness is unrepented sins, unconfessed wounds, character weakness which creates a desire of competitiveness leaving an open door for Satan domain the spirit of Jezebel to manifest.
o "There must be no competition among you, no conceit; but everybody is to be self-effacing. Always consider the other person to be better than yourself, so that nobody thinks of his own interest first but everybody thinks of the other people's interests instead." (Philippians 2: 3-4).
• Jezebel is after the spirit of prophesy. Jesus is the spirit of prophesy. Jezebel is envy, jealous and after controlling God’s prophetic voice and anointing.
• Ego desires and uncrucified flesh: The Spirit of Jezebel is a controlling spirit that is feed with ego desires: I, Mine, Me is usually in their vocabulary instead of us, we, ours. Self will instead of God’s will, steals authority, lies and distortion, manipulates those in leadership
• Ammunition. “Jezebels are continually collecting ammunition. They acquire information that they can use against you in case they ever begin to lose their grip on power. All what they would have collected they would use against you without mercy. When people try to manipulate or dominate the will of others, it is in direct violation of God's laws and comes under Satan's domain.” Intimidation, defamation, vengeance.
• Lack of humility: "God resists the proud, but gives grace to the humble", (1 Peter 5:5). Anyone who is tempted to exert control over others is being invited by the Jezebel spirit to access Satan domain.
• Dominant: Jezebel is a dominant spirit. She is always right, does not repent, when confronted cannot see her sin and manifest as a victim, martyr or persecutor. Justifies her position through biblical reasoning, out of logic, and defense mechanism of the soul.

--The Spirit of Jezebel a Spirit of False Flattery
• Manipulation: Have many forms such as manipulate people to give you money, position gain trust. Attracting people through acting as a victim: getting sick continually, however you continue with your religious activities and sacrificial behavior to attract pity and favor.
o Behaving as a Martyr: I am paying a high price to serve God
o Jezebel is a religious spirit which manifest mostly among prophetic circles, company of prophet and prophetess, intercessory prayers, apostolic companies.
• Loners: minister can that confess having a change of heart but continue working only their own thing, have a poor prayer life and are not part of a team work are being seduced by Jezebel spirit. Jezebel is individualistic, she is after her own thing, her own ministry, her own vision, her own business, her own interest.
• Taking not giving, stealing ideas, programs, visions, sermons and saying: “God gave me the same revelation, the same dream, the same vision. God showed me the same.” Jezebel is a copycat of God’s anointing. She has all the vision, all the revelations, she always know, she has seen all the vision that God has revealed to you, she can even end your sentences when you are preaching. She can become your best friend and end trying to seduce your husband.

Once, I had a woman that was part of our congregation, she came has a prophetess and became an elder of our congregation. She used to give many prophesies to everyone in the congregation. When we (apostles Juan and Yenan) began to work with her, visiting her home when she disappears, we found that her house was a chaos. Her relationship with her husband was a chaos and her relationship with her children also and this was a very well keep secret. Off course she was the victim of her husband and children and a martyr of her grandchildren. This women got also deeper into our life she ended living with us. When she began to live with us suddenly, I noticed a change in her vocabulary. One day she said: “I am going to buy a motorcycle and some short leather skirts, very tight and I am going to use my bike as my transportation. I could not believe it, this woman was after my husband. This false prophet was after my husband and my place.
• Control of information. Jezebel wants to have access to your information, weakness and mistakes so she can control you. “A Jezebel wields power over you by knowing something you don't know in a situation. In the eyes of a Jezebel, having information you don't have is a powerful weapon of control.”
• Giving while needing: Jezebel gives to obtain and will continue building up her stair until she become the queen she believe to be. She thirsts for recognition, authority, control and power.
• Hypocrisy: Jezebel is hypocrite, she flatter to obtain, to get near the person that has the anointing to build up her own interest.
• Jezebel is rebel she follows no one instruction or authority all authority have a defect and a fault that is the reason she can not submit to no one. Women can fall under the influence of Jezebel because many of us have suffer abuses of people on authority and if that wound is not healed we can be seduced by Jezebel influences and start acting as overachievers, controllers, authoritarians. Men are also expose to the spirit of Jezebel because their fallen understanding of what is to have power and control. Men thrive for have power and control because is a sign of strengths and success.

--Solution for not to fall under the spirit of Jezebel
Philippians 2 (The Message)
• 1-4 If you've gotten anything at all out of following Christ, if his love has made any difference in your life, if being in a community of the Spirit means anything to you, if you have a heart, if you care— then do me a favor:
• Agree with each other, love each other, be deep-spirited friends.
• Don't push your way to the front;
• don't sweet-talk your way to the top.
• Put yourself aside, and help others get ahead.
• Don't be obsessed with getting your own advantage.
• Forget yourselves long enough to lend a helping hand.
• 5-8Think of yourselves the way Christ Jesus thought of himself.
• He had equal status with God but didn't think so much of himself that he had to cling to the advantages of that status no matter what. Not at all. When the time came, he set aside the privileges of deity and took on the status of a slave, became human! Having become human, he stayed human. It was an incredibly humbling process.
• He didn't claim special privileges.
• Instead, he lived a selfless,
• obedient life and then died a selfless,
• obedient death—and the worst kind of death at that—a crucifixion.
• 9-11Because of that obedience, God lifted him high and honored him far beyond anyone or anything, ever, so that all created beings in heaven and on earth—even those long ago dead and buried—will bow in worship before this Jesus Christ, and call out in praise that he is the Master of all, to the glorious honor of God the Father.
