- I am a divorced mother fo three beautiful girls, and I was once a victim of domestic violence - TWICE!
I am now working to pursue my own dreams and goals now that my head and spirit are free to do so... but that is after MUCH counseling and MUCH MORE prayer! I have also worked as a case manager and counselor in a domestic violence shelter, which only helped ignite my passion to help those where I once was.
I am about to publish a book of poetry and short stories, 'THE PASSION WITHIN', under my own newly-formed publishing company, SAFE HAVEN PUBLISHING, where a portion of the proceeds will go to fund organizations and programs to aid the victims of domestic violence, such as the National Coalition Against Domestic Violence (www.ncadv.org), the South Carolina Coalition Against Domestic Violence and Sexual Assault (SCCADVASA - www.sccadvasa.org) and Citizens Opposed to Domestic Abuse (CODA - www.codabft.com). CODA is the shelter where I once worked and still volunteer through, and I am personally afiliated with all three organizations.

Griffin, co-host and author of “A JOURNEY TO WELLNESS: A Series of Collective Thoughts” interviewed RM Green (host) and Noah Travis, both contributing authors of the poetry and short-story anthology “THE PASSION WITHIN”. This was quite an interesting and informative show exploring why the anthology came about, and gave an in-depth look at a few pieces including in the book, as well as the authors themselves. The program began with Debra talking about how her wonderful book came to fruition, and how it helps improve the quality of life of others in their personal battles against cancer.
We were literally broadcast AROUND THE WORLD through blog radio, and I am very GRATEFUL to everyone who listened and called in. THANK YOU!!!

It's time that we as God's people begin to get real with Him so we can pray and intercede for His people effectively. If we could just get out of self concerns and get our focus on His concerns we could make a lot more progress against the kingdom of darkness that holds His people bound.
I for one want to challenge all who read this post to set aside a few extra minutes today and everyday to pray for someone else that you do not know! Many of God's people today have no one praying for them and that breaks His heart and mine!
Let's create a ripple effect in the Spiritual Realm and let satan know that united we stand and that means he falls! Have a blast with Jesus today!

This is a Year of the New Wineskin!
Wine in the Bible is linked with revelation and life. When God pours new wine, we experience joy, strength, and have creative dynamics of thought that produce change. The wineskin represents structure. What resists us moving in a new structure is what resists new revelation that starts being released, which causes us to change our present structure.

Let us remember as we prepare for this 2008 Thanksgiving season to consider those who have no one to celebrate with, those who have lost loved ones, those who are experiencing severe trials, those who are sick and those yet to come to the knowledge of Jesus Christ!
So many of us have so much to be thankful for, let this be the year that we consider those less fortunate more so than ourselves.
O God of all grace, work in my life, as You did with Your Son, Jesus. Strengthen me spiritually and fill me with Your wisdom. Deepen my walk with You and increase the spiritual impact that I have on others, for Your pleasure and glory, Amen.
